About Oahu

Oahu, which is nicknamed the

"Gathering Place" is named this because it is the third largest and most populated of the Hawaiian Islands.  Hawaii became the 50th State in 1959.  Hawaii's State Capital is Honolulu, which is located on the southeast coast has a main deepwater marine port for the State of Hawaii.   

 Oahu has five main districts: Waikiki & Honolulu, Central Oahu, Leeward Oahu & Wai'anae, Windward or East Oahu, and North Shore. Within these specific regions you will come to find that each has it's own unique flavor and character.  Some areas are rural while others are very metropolitan.
